In the realm of clairvoyant readings a great responsibility is bestowed on the reader. Not all who are psychic are able to give readings to individuals and not many readers continue developing and growing until they are powerful little grannies. Being a psychic was not something I had been looking for in life, I believe having other interests has allowed spirit to move through me in the way it needs to. This means that I do not always receive what a client may want to hear but what the person needs to know about their life in order to develop or evolve their own soul. Sometimes I am not given what I believe to be mundane information such as the client's exact number of children or what the client is presently doing for a career. I find I am led to a person's very core, what is blocking them in this present life, emotionally or otherwise and a path that works for them in order to unblock. Just to let the reader know that some of these gentle proddings may seem unusual to the rational mind. Each reading is so unique and personal that I know this information comes from a source that is infinitely intelligent and all-knowing. I feel the love the creator has for each person (no matter where they may be on their life's path or what they have done) flow through me while I am conducting the session. Once this door closes I feel the energy leave me and in a short while I don't remember what the reading was even about. Many people have found my readings healing, that they feel a strong yet gentle energy around us during the sitting. Often people don't want to leave my space because of the unconditional love surrounding us like a warm soothing blanket. A type of love the person may never have before experienced, as humans have a lot to learn about loving unconditionally. Here is an example of a reading given to a client which I found especially amazing in which I was just a tool for transformation to occur. I read a young woman who had a lot of nervous energy, she came back to see me three weeks later with her story about my reading and how the events I predicted unfolded. Apparently we were doing the reading and her aunt somehow came up in the reading, I believe I was talking to her about some hereditary family patterns she shared with her family of origin (I often pick these up and these patterns I have found can be broken, we are not doomed to repeat them if we get conscious of them). She told me in the reading that her aunt lived her whole life with a man who pinched pennies. He died suddenly one day and the aunt found out she was not only a widow but a millionairess overnight. She went into a catatonic state due to the shock of this news. Immediately information started flowing through me, I told her part of the problem was where the aunt was, I predicted to this young woman the aunt would be moved 3 times and that they needed to pray for her and send her love, then I sang the Beetles song "All you need is love" (I did not remember any of this). In three weeks the prediction of her being moved (apparently she was in a psychiatric institution) three times happened and the young woman got all of her relatives to pray and send love to this aunt. The aunt promptly came out of the catatonic state and started making transatlantic calls to the family. This young woman was overcome with emotion and gratitude when she came to see me the second time and I felt overwhelmed by the mystery of this gift of clairvoyance, reaffirming for myself why I do readings for people. From my experience with spirit and energy, sometimes when we are in a coma or state like the aunt above we can astro-travel from our bodies. I believe what happened that day was the woman's aunt flowed through me and asked for what she needed, love and compassion. This reading for me confirmed once more why it is important to allow as much as I can for the reading to take its own form. I feel honored that the powers that be want to flow through me and help or heal an individual or their circumstance, this is why I do these readings to this day. Copyright Lorraine Hughes 2006
